What is Android Oreo?

Android operating system that runs on both tablets and phones.  Android 8.0 Oreo is the most palatable mainstream Android version yet. It is visually consistent, simplified, feature-rich and polished. Oreo is clearly designed to appeal to as wide an audience as possible, from satisfying the die-hard Android fan with its comprehensive feature set and advanced customization potential, to accommodating the iPhone switcher or tech debutante with its simplified layout and intuitive user experience. OEMs are even on that list, and we’ve seen increasingly more of them give up the manufacturer skin game in favor of what Google serves up. Oreo is for everybody.

Why its called Android Oreo?

Google has traditionally used sweet treats for the names of its major Android releases, dating back to Android 1.5, aka “Cupcake.” Donut 1.6, Éclair 2.1,Froyo 2.2 – 2.2.3,Gingerbread 2.3- 2.3.7, Honeycomb 3.0-3.2.6, Ice cream Sandwich 4.0-4.0.4, Jelly bean 4.1-4.3, Kitkat 4.4, , Lollipop 5.0-5.1, Marshmallow 6.0-6.1, Nougat 7.0-7.1, Google typically sticking to generic dessert names wherever possible. Oreo is pretty much the only choice for an “O” dessert that’s broadly and instantly recognizable, however, so it seems like it was almost inevitable.

How Android O works?

One of the key improvements Google wants to make with Android O concerns battery life. The software will limit the activity of apps running in the background, focusing on location updates, broadcasts and background services, which should help your phone last longer.

Background limits:

Android Oreo helps minimize background activity in the apps you use least, it’s the super power you can’t even see.

With your permission, Autofill remembers your logins to get you into your favorite apps at supersonic speed.

Allows you to see two apps at once, it’s like having super strength and laser vision.
